At Community Hope Center we begin with physical nourishing by meeting peoples’ basic needs for food and clothing and go further by offering programs that address the root causes of hardship they are experiencing. For us, ultimate success is when our guests begin to thrive and remain a part of the CHC community to help carry on the message of hope for others.

Our aim is to be a community of friends where everyone is flourishing emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

We would not be able to do this important work without the incredible generosity of our supporters. Every dollar donated and hour volunteered is carefully stewarded to meet immediate needs and address the underlying circumstances that prevent people from experiencing security and stability.

Monetary gifts

Monetary Donations are essential to go beyond basic needs and address the underlying causes of hunger and poverty with relevant, right-sized, relational, and effective support. CHC does not collect fees for services, nor do we receive revenues from government contracts, nor are we members of an association or federation.

Hope in Action Partnership

Hope In Action Partners have committed to making monthly contributions to sustain CHC’s operations. Hope In Action partnerships are an investment in the mission of CHC, and more importantly, the lives of those we are called to help. These partnerships are instrumental to CHC’s ability to steward resources effectively and plan with greater clarity as we advance toward the vision God has for His ministry.

Matching Gifts

You may be able to double the impact of your donation if your company has a matching gift program. Contact your employer’s Human Resources department to see if your company matches charitable contributions.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

If you are required to take Required Minimum Distributions from your IRAs, there may be tax incentives if you make a Qualified Charitable Distribution. Talk to your financial advisor for more information.

Donations

Food, Toiletries & Cleaning Supplies

Community Hope Center gratefully accepts donations of food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 1:30PM and Saturday 8:30AM – 11AM.

Food

CHC is focused on increasing access to healthy, nutritious food to promote guests’ overall health and well-being through the SWAP (Supporting Wellness at Pantries) Program. If you would like to make a food donation, this downloadable shopping list is a great place to start.

Clothing & Household items

CHC accepts gently used clothing, housewares and toys on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 am – 12 pm. Donations can be made on occasion Saturdays. Please check the Event Page or our Facebook page for upcoming Saturday donation opportunities. Due to space limitations, we ask that people limit their clothing and household donations to four boxes, bags, or crates per donation day that adhere to the following guidelines:

Items are clean and in good condition – This respects the dignity of the people who come to CHC for help.
Items work properly and have all parts/components – This saves our volunteers valuable space and time sorting through things that cannot be used and minimizes the cost of disposing of broken items.

CHC does not accept

Bed pillows or matter
Baby/child car seats, cribs, high chairs, etc.
Furniture: sofas, dressers, cabinets, chairs, beds, etc.
